An Early Christmas Present

Christmas is one of those seasons where it may sometimes feel like we’ve heard it all before. The same sermons, the same songs, the same idiotic Christmas commercials, etc. Well, if you’re looking for a refreshingly different take on the Christmas season and what it means, wander over to Gil’s latest post. It’s a wonderful bit of theological reflection on Christmas based on everyday conversations and experiences with his daughters—the highlight of which, in my opinion, is his discussion of “second work.” I’m not going to elaborate any further because you should go read it for yourself. It’s well worth the visit, in my unbiased opinion (for those who don’t know, Gil is my twin brother. You know, we do share the same DNA…. Maybe I could take partial credit for this…).
